Open Thread: Cute Fluffy Deadly Animals

(posted by chris the cynic)

For some reason I was thinking yesterday was today, and I put today’s open thread up then.  Oops.

One of my earlier memories is of the giant killer bunnies leaping over the railroad tracks (Night of the Lepus 1972.)  Fill in the blank in, “There should be a movie about giant killler _______,” with a cute harmless seeming animal of your choice and defend your answer.  You will be graded on this and no peeking at other people’s… ok I was lying about the grading and peek away.

Yeah, the bunny is a classic. Although not that surprising if you grew up with Watership Down.

    Attack of the Killer Chinchilla.

    Revenge of the GEICO Gecko

    The Puppycane

The Goldfish that Swallowed the World

    Attack of the Housecats

    The Squirrels Under The Stairs

Zombie Kittens (My sister wants to produce this at some point, actually.)

    Ferretstorm! (These are all great.)

    Tribble Twister?

I’m not so good with animals. I keep thinking of things like Soft Pillow Rampage and Attack of the Smiling Babies…none of which are memorable or poetic…

Woodlice! Such harmless and charming little creatures. (All right, don’t search for “deep sea isopod” if you’re squeamish.)

[munch] [munch] [munch] [munch] [munch] [munch] [munch] [munch] [munch]…

Goldfish? (Finally, “Sound Goldfish Warning” will make sense.)
