The Blogaround

I have been on vacation, or as I sum it up, Nine States, Four Presidents, Three Hailstorms, Two Zoos, and a Wedding. I have lots of vacation pictures, leading to lots of vacations posts.

On a long trip such as this, it might be advisable to Go With God  or at least a GPS device. That leads to a short post on Traveler’s Tales, and one on The Wedding. And my husband insisted on a stop in Moline to visit with my older brother, so we wound up at the Pelham Museum, which, Oh, Brother, has a crocheted coral reef. After an out of sequence post on how Phone Tag Is Murder, I continue on to Sioux Falls, where the first of the Two Zoos is located. Finally, A Brief Geography Lesson as We Go on Our Way.

Next week, I’ll write about Wall Drug, Mount Rushmore, the Chief Crazy Horse Memorial, Devil’s Tower, Deadwood, fun with weather, and some museums we saw on our way back.

Since last time only five things:
A proposal to have a TV series based around the same premise as the Poseidon Adventure movies and remakes.  Instead of one small group surviving in total, each episode would be about a different small group making their way out of the doomed ship to safety in a different way.
-In response to a twitter thing about what you might (allegedly) hear from a liberal I quoted the commie pinko leftist book of Acts.  (That Bible thing, it’s like the New Testament was written about a long haired radical socialist Jew and his followers.)
-I noted my birthday and I mentioned I was back on the medication that worked.
-I talked about some premises I thought were unfairly ignored by their own shows.
-I wrote a post about why .hack//Sign means so much to me.

I have couple of pony-related things, because when do I have anything else?

Equestria Girls Liveblog: In which I watch the My Little Pony movie Equestria Girls and comment in real time on what I am seeing. May not be that interesting without context, or possibly may be more amusing without context.

[Pony] Is My Waifu (Snowdrop): In which I assert that “Snowdrop,” a fan animation that at first seems blatantly manipulative and exploitative in a “Little Match Girl” sort of way, but which I argue avoids those sentimental pitfalls by giving its main character a way to express her own story.

In Case You Missed This

As I know we have a couple of fans of the show Supernatural here and a number of people interested in crafty things, I thought people might be interested in this dress inspired by the show.

Also, this article on sexism and an all-female panel at ComicCon will probably be of interest as well.

Things You Can Do

No submissions this week but if you know of something please put it in the comments.

Sorry for failure to submit but I have couple of pony-related things, because when do I have anything else?

As per policy dating back to typepad I’ve added that to the original post and it will also appear next week, after all of the submissions for that week, under the heading “Last Week” so that if anyone only checks posts when they’re posted they will see it.

Also your second link is broken but I was able to use google to find where it was supposed to point.
