The Blogaround

  • On Monday, Storiteller did her civic duty and voted, as well as encouraged her readers to do so in Celebrate Election Day!.  In A Halloweening We Will Go, she talks about why Halloween can be so much more fun as a parent than it was without kids.

Things You Can Do

  • I’m running a Patreon campaign to fund The Near-Apocalypse of ’09, my upcoming deconstruction/psychochronography of the DC Animated Universe. Backers can see the articles as I write them–by the time this post goes up, the first two should be up, along with two vlogs on The Legend of Korra.

At the end of this week the campaign to fund important things to save my university ends.  The fund is here, if you can, if you care about publich higher education in the US, please consider sending money to this project.  As a reminder the money goes to three things:

  1. Getting an independent audit so decisions can be based on facts rather than the current standards of vague feelings only supported by, “Don’t you trust me?
  2. Helping students who were illegally victimized afford the lawyers they will need to get what they are legally entitled to.
  3. Investigating conflicts of interest in the opaque process currently underway.
