Writer Workshop September 2nd, 2015

(Posted by chris the cynic)

Those of you who also frequent Ana Mardoll’s Ramblings will find this somewhat familiar.  Here, as there, it was requested that there be a regular post to talk about writing projects (and other artwork-creation). Thus this post exists.

What are you working on? How are you feeling about it? What thoughts and/or snippets would you like to share? How does your activism work into your art? What tropes are you hoping to employ and/or avoid? Are there any questions you’d like to ask or frustrations you’d like to vent?  Writing workshop below!

New installment of Being more than a Simulacrum wherein I try to deal with sloppy research and world-building on the part of the creators of Kim Possible by covering a chapter in lampshades: Part 12, as yet unnamed.

Name suggestions welcome. “Back to School” doesn’t work because Joss has never been to said school before, “At the mountaintop” seems like it ought to be Civil Rights related (Sorry Moses, Martin Luther King Jr. was a better orator.)

It just occurred to me that I could simply call it “Answers” since it is the part where Place finally gets the biggest questions she’s had answered (Why did the seemingly mundane process of cloning produce her: someone with all of the memories of the original?)

    But title suggestions welcome.

Project about scary things is in its final stages (at least of my involvement). Every single word is going to be as close to the exact right word as I am capable of getting it. I become frustrated when writers with far bigger sales clearly can’t be bothered to do this.

Then I really ought to polish up the wargaming piece (but I’m not getting paid for that, so it went way down the stack).
