The Blogaround

  • chris the cynic wrote:
    • I talked about what Ragnarok means, because it gets used as a generic end times thing and it’s really not.
    • I proposed two things, for our world I proposed a completely different paradigm how our news delivery people could do their jobs.
    • For a world in which people have superpowers, I have proposed The Superhero Prevention Squad.  When life railroads someone into a path of vigilantism where the weight of the world rests upon their shoulders using a breakdown of society and traumatic events we call it an origin story.  Not a loss of self determination.  Not the death of the hopes and dreams you had before.  What if we didn’t just sit by and let that happen.  What if there were professionals who could save you from being origin-storied?
    • I had a short snippet of Life After in which the heroes are called “meddling kids” and riff off of that.
    • In normal life I’ve been listening to Lucinda Holdsworth, and being stuck with secondary computer has been damaging my calm.

Just seen: https://thingofthings.wordpress.com/2016/09/30/thoughts-on-cults/ (how to identify spiritual abuse, and how to be compassionate to the victims of it). Some good comments too.
