Open Thread: Creative Corner?

(by chris the cynic)

In theory the Writer’s Workshop threads are supposed to also be a place to talk about non-writing creative endeavors as well, in practice. . . well, look at the name.

It has thus been suggested that we have a recurring open thread for non-writing projects that people might want to talk about, share, or otherwise fill a thread with.

So, one, feel free to do that here, and, two, please share any thoughts you have on the idea of having (or continuing to not-have) a thread like this on a regular basis (or what best to call it, or what image would go well with it, or . . .)

[As a reminder, open thread prompts are meant to inspire conversation, not stifle it. Have no fear of going off topic for there is no off topic here.]

I’m going to see if i can make a custom controller for the PS4 that I now have. I’ve never really liked the way controlers feel in my hands, nor am I a big fan of the interface design. This would be an entirely mechanical project, instead of rewiring things I’d use mechanical linkages to make pressing a button in new place press the button in original place.

Controller design is very compact so it’s not really an option to shift around the button electronics.

On a completely different front, I made this years ago, I’d like to make such things again someday:
